The Cambium cnPilot™ e501S Outdoor Access Point With PoE Adapter is a high-performance enterprise-grade outdoor wireless access point designed for large-scale outdoor Wi-Fi deployments. Engineered with advanced 802.11ac Wave 2 technology, the device delivers stable, secure, and high-speed wireless connectivity for industrial campuses, educational institutions, hotels, stadiums, parks, smart city projects, warehouses, and public hotspot environments. Its rugged IP67-rated weatherproof enclosure ensures reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions including rain, dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures.

The cnPilot™ e501S features an integrated 90° to 120° sector antenna, providing focused long-range wireless coverage while reducing interference in high-density deployments. The access point supports simultaneous dual-band operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies with a combined wireless throughput of up to 1.16 Gbps. Equipped with 2x2 MU-MIMO technology, the device efficiently manages multiple client connections simultaneously while maintaining stable network performance.

This outdoor access point supports up to 256 concurrent users and can broadcast up to 16 SSIDs with advanced enterprise-level security features including WPA2 encryption, Dynamic VLANs, DFS channels, Access Control Lists (ACL), captive portal, and 802.1x authentication. The included PoE Adapter allows both power and data transmission through a single Ethernet cable, simplifying outdoor installation and reducing cabling costs. Additionally, one Gigabit Ethernet port supports auxiliary PoE output for powering external devices such as IP cameras or Cambium subscriber modules.

The e501S seamlessly integrates with Cambium cnMaestro™ cloud management, enabling centralized monitoring, firmware upgrades, analytics, remote troubleshooting, and network management without additional controller licensing fees. It also supports mesh networking, controller-less roaming, automatic channel selection, and intelligent transmit power control for optimized outdoor wireless performance.
